Samsung denied Licensing RIM’s BlackBerry OS 10
Recently was a rumor that Samsung will license RIM’s BlackBerry OS 10 (even purchasing RIM). The rumour is not new although, one hovers the air throughout last year. Although, the rumor is worth believing enough for RIM; s shares to rise (a tolerated redirection, as they go down to 2009 levels).
Samsung denied removing the rumor from town “Samsung Electronics has not considered the acquisition of Research in Motion or licensing BB10″.
Looking at the trend, RIM’s BlackBerry OS 10 won’t run till next year, Samsung already has four big partners on OS. Android (which rules the mobile OS market), Windows Phone, (expanding at a faster rate), bada OS (already tending towards expiry) and Tizen (that is probably replacing it)
Jefferies analysts, who started the “Samsung will license BB10″ rumor, said that licensing RIM’s BlackBerry OS 10 would be a good move for RIM. They may be accurate, but the new is never true as Samsung has spoken, at least for now.
Thanks for your post. I also feel that laptop computers have grown to be more and more popular currently, and now are usually the only form of computer used in a household. The reason is that at the same time they are becoming more and more very affordable, their processing power keeps growing to the point where they are as potent as desktop computers coming from just a few years back.
You are welcome, great comment
