5 Things We Expect from iPhone 5

As the launch of the new version of the iPhone, the iPhone 5 comes closer, followers and fans of this Apple device are beginning to set their expectations high. Apple and the iPhone series have also come up with something new and highly innovative, every time they have launched a new iPhone and to expect anything less this time would just be a mistake. Also, powering the new iPhones will be the latest iOS being introduced by Apple, the iOS 6 which is already making big news in the technology world. There is, as always, great hype and great expectation that is being anticipated around the launch of Apple’s iPhone 5.

iPhone 5: What to Expect

Here is a wish list that we would like to see in the latest device that will be announced somewhere in October this year.

Widget Control:

Widgets are the heart of any Android device, giving easier access to information and settings and faster control. This feature has been missing in the previous versions of the phone and smartphone users will definitely like to see this addition on their Apple phones. However, chances of Apple adding the widgets on the home screen are less so we are expecting them in the Notification Center coming through a third party application. Also there number will be less to avoid complications between notifications and widgets in the scroll.

Enhancement in Siri:

The software feature allowing for voice command and dictation was introduced in the iPhone 4S. It is still a Beta feature and in its initial phases. Helping it to play music, click pictures and read tweets through third party application would certainly make it an important update as a part of iOS 6.

iPhone gestures:

Multitasking is now a must; with the S3 setting benchmarks in this field it becomes highly necessary that our Apple devices help us in a three finger swipe for multi-tasking bars. With the feature already available in Ipads, its inclusion in the iPhone becomes all the more anticipated.

Facebook Integration:

Sharing photos and links through the integration of Twitter in iPhone 4S was made much easier. Users would now be looking forward to a similar Facebook integration which allows them to have one tap option for sharing anything between Twitter and Facebook.

IM in Messages:

The exchange of videos, pictures and texts between different iOS users without additional fees, through messages and the application providing for sync across various devices, is definitely one of the most awaited features for the iOS 6. Latest versions of Messages Beta for OS X are now letting users connect to Google talk and AIM besides other IM services. A similar update for the iPhone 5 would be really impressive.

Apple has always been known for creating new benchmarks when it comes to setting new standards with their ever innovative features and technology. To expect anything less from the iPhone 5, given the heat in the smartphone market, would be a big mistake.
