A crazy look at mobile data
Consider this: Years back before the evolution of the smartphone, mobile phones were simple and had at best 3 main functions;
They stored numbers, they made calls and they received calls.
Nothing more, this was before data and text messaging were available. Someone then had the good sense to introduce data transmission capabilities to mobiles which meant they could start communicating 2 way between themselves and the internet. The evolution started around then, Fast forward a few years and what do we have today? An amazing peice of tech that fits snug in your pocket and is more powerful than most desktop machines were 10 years ago. I don’t believe people even comprehend what they carry with them everyday.
The mobile phone today is consistently talking to the internet, telling the internet where you are, storing your data, giving you access to information, giving you the ability to conduct financial transactions from virtually anywhere in the world.
